Tucked away in the Hertfordshire countryside, North Mymms Park provided a breathtaking backdrop for this fabulous wedding. With its rich history dating back to the 16th century and sweeping views across manicured gardens, the venue offered a perfect blend of elegance and romance.

The couple, a wonderful blend of cultures with a Malaysian bride and British groom, celebrated their special day surrounded by 150 guests. The ceremony took place in the stunning outdoor Loggia, bathed in natural light, while the celebration continued in a beautifully dressed marquee.

Behind the Scenes

For this special celebration, every dish was thoughtfully tailored to reflect the couple’s personal tastes and cultural backgrounds. Our head chef, Mat Thackwray, is passionate about crafting bespoke menus that bring each couple’s story to life through food. For this wedding, he worked to design a menu that celebrated both Malaysian and British influences. One highlight was the dessert: a beautifully reimagined version of the traditional Malaysian Cendol, delicately balanced in flavour and elegantly presented. Mat relished the opportunity to put a contemporary spin on this beloved classic, showcasing his creativity and respect for authentic ingredients.

Surrounded by the estate’s historic charm and sweeping parkland views, the marquee combines the elegance of a traditional English country wedding with the versatility of a modern event space.
